CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (Reuters) - The universe will look quite different to astronomers after the launch on Monday of NASA's latest satellite observatory, built to see objects either too cold to cast their own light or obscured by interstellar dust.
From failed stars that never turned on, to the galaxy's own dust-shrouded heart, the Space Infra Red Telescope Facility will look into the dark, cold corners of the universe, making itself sensitive to the faintest heat signatures by cooling its own instruments to just a degree or two above absolute zero.
The $700 million satellite is poised atop a Boeing Delta II rocket at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station for a nighttime launch at 1:35 a.m. EDT."

djfamousa: Ok, doesn't all this action seem a bit nuts? Don't recent events seem like they are all happening too fast? The Middle East region is devastated by war and yet there is supposed to be a peace that develops there? If that is true, I can only see that happening through prophecy. By man's own works, an everlasting peace can never be obtained.

Mars swings by for close-up view: "Mars swings by for close-up view" djfamousa: This phenomenon won't happen again for another 200 years. Isn't It magnificent how the universe works? The more we find out about this place we call earth, the more everything seems to have been planned. Everything outside of what humans make runs perfectly and without error. When you look at the structure of a simple leaf, the perfect shapes and colors and patterns, you can't help but realize that there must be a Creator of it all. To realize the beauty that is all around which is not manmade, is to realize the works of the Creator of the Heavens and of the Earth.

California Lottery - Welcome djfamousa: I can dream can't I? The first thing I would do if I won the lottery would be to make sure all of my family and relatives are setup for life. Then I would have to make sure all of my current friends are setup too. Then I would get myself a big house to chill out at and not work anymore. Then I would try and learn some artistic things like painting or something. I would always eat well and my house will always be open to all of the homies 24/7 365. I would also have to have a 6 car garage for all the ferraris and lambo's. Then i would also have to donate a large portion of it to help needy people. Sounds fun to me =).
